The ID cards accepted by Aruba for foreign customers are the following:
a) ID Card or equivalent document issued by the Member States of the European Union or by the states that have signed the Schengen Agreement;
b) Passport, valid for all customers which are not Italian citizens.
Note that, according to art. 3 and 35 of the Presidential Decree n. 445 of 28 December 2000, any document with a photograph of the holder issued in paper, magnetic or electronic form, by a Member State of the European Union, which allows the personal identification of the holder, is equivalent to the identity card.
Currently the State Members of the European Union are: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, German, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxemburg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, United Kingdom, Czech Republic, Rumania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Hungary.
The same is valid for Customers who are citizens of States which are not members of the European Union but signatories of the Schengen Agreement.
The signatories of this agreement are the countries listed in this link.
While for Customers who are citizens of States which are not members of the European Union and not signatories of the Schengen Agreement, the only document suitable for identifying the holder is the Passport.
We remind you that, after receiving requests from customers, Aruba reserves the right to ask for additional documentation.
